To add a video to your course, open up a Topic in your course and press the + icon on the right.
Select Material. You can then choose from any video Material you have already uploaded, or press Upload File to add a new video Material from your device.
Video files can be added to a course in .mov, .mp4, .avi, .m4v, .3gp, .mpg, and .mpeg formats up to 2 GB large, roughly equating to 1-2 hours in length.
You can also add YouTube videos to your course following the instructions in How do I add a weblink to a course?
Once you’ve chosen your video, you can add a Title and Description to give some context.
By default, Honor will display the entirety of the video you upload. If you only want it to display certain parts of the video, you can Trim the Material to choose what is displayed. Select the Trim & Duration option on the right-hand sidebar to adjust the duration of the video.
Closed Captions are automatically generated when you upload your video. If you have a captions file you would like to upload, select the Closed Captions option on the right-hand sidebar and click the three dots in the top-right.
Closed caption files can be uploaded in the .ttml, .ttxt, .smi, .xml, .dxfp, and .vtt formats.
Now that you’ve added and set up your video, you can choose to mark any parts you find interesting with Instructor Commentary. To learn more, see this article:
