In Honor Learn, you can leave private notes in any course material to help you mark anything you would like to quickly access later, or think through without making a public comment.
To take notes, you must first leave a Reaction. For instructions on reacting to course material, see this article:

Once you’ve left a reaction, select Leave a Note at the bottom of the screen.
Type out your thoughts and click Save once you’re done.
Now that you’ve left private notes, you can view them at any time in your Notebook. For more information on that, check out this article:
