Conversations allow your students to converse directly with each other and with you, all centered around the learning material. As an instructor, you have several ways of engaging with your learners’ Conversations. This article covers the following topics:
Viewing the Conversations Feed
Viewing Conversations by Material
Moderating Class Conversations
Conversation Analytics
When you’re viewing a Topic, or an entire Course, the Conversations Analytics pane will show a summary of the Conversations activity for that Topic or Course.
Click on this pane to view the Conversations Feed.
Viewing the Conversations Feed
Access the Conversations Feed either by clicking the Conversations Analytics panel in your course, or by navigating to the Conversations tab in your course.
This displays a feed of all Conversations activity in your course. By default, it’s sorted by recent activity. But you can adjust the sort to show the Conversations with the most replies first.
Use the filters to view Conversations for particular topics, or filter to “Mine” to view only the Conversations you’ve contributed to.
Click any Conversation to follow it back to the material where it was started. Then, you can reply, or look at the other Conversation activity in the same location.
Viewing Conversations by Material
To view and respond to the Conversations on a piece of learning material, navigate to the material in your course in Honor Create.
Access Conversations by clicking an Energy Bar with a Conversations icon.
Or, you can navigate to the Activity tab and click on Conversations Analytics.
This reveals all the Conversations your learners have started in that section.
Responding to Conversations
Click on a Conversation to view the entire thread, and respond yourself. User the rich text editor to format your response, or to embed links to helpful resources for your learners. Your response will show up in black.
You can also limit replies on, or remove, any Conversation in your course.
Moderating Class Conversations
Your learners have the ability to flag Conversations as inappropriate. Whenever this happens, that Conversation is added to your Moderation Tab.
Scroll through the comments that have been flagged.
Click on one to take action, and view more details about the exchange. You can choose to remove the comment, or keep it.
