Honor Create automatically generates closed captions for video assets. This article walks you through how to work with these automatically generated captions, or if you want, to upload your own caption file.
Automatically generated captions
When you add a video to a topic in your course, Honor Create automatically generates closed captions that your students have the option to turn on. This process can take up to a couple of minutes. These captions are only available in English. For now, to enable captions in other languages, you need to upload a caption file.
Click Closed Captions in the right-hand sidebar to access auto-generated captions on your video. From here, you can click around using the timestamps on the right to see how the captions line up with the video.
Click the options in the top-right corner and select Download to download this automatically generated caption file in .vtt format. You can then edit this file and re-upload it.
Uploading a caption file
If you do not want to use the captions that Honor Create automatically generates, you can upload your own caption file. Click Upload and choose a file from your computer.
Honor Create accepts caption files in the following formats:
.ttml, .ttxt, .smi, .xml, .dxfp, .vtt
